Service Description

Do you have some experience with clay? Would you like to create with like-minded folks at the pottery studio and use all the great equipment, textures and tools we have to offer? Don't want to purchase a monthly membership? Then this independent study class is for you! Students have full use of all the fabulous pottery equipment, tools, texture mats, rollers, forms, hump and slump molds--enough to keep any ceramic artist busy for years to come. Independent study is primarily geared toward students with some recent clay experience. Participants will work on individual pieces of their own creation. Cathleen will provide guidance, answer construction questions as well as technique and help facilitate design development of personal imagery in their work. Class Meets Wednesday afternoons from 12-3 PM on the Following Dates: July 10, 17, 24, 31 August 7, 14, 21, 28 September 4, 11, 18, 25 Future dates will be posted. Cost is $150 for 4 sessions or $40 per single session. Students purchase clay at $35-$45 per 25-pound bag from the studio, which includes glaze and two firings per piece. No outside clay allowed. Students create all work during the independent study including glazing. Glazing instruction is always offered. Cancellation Policy: If studio cancels, students are refunded. If student cancels, they receive a refund less 3% booking fee if canceled within 3 days. No rebooking fees if rescheduled. No refunds for no shows.
