Service Description

May 14, 11 am - 3 pm (Glaze session June 1st) This fun class is geared for those with intermediate wheel experience to get creative with project-oriented work, the theme being an oil & vinegar curet set with accompanied tray/caddy, and a small oil and vinegar dipping dish for fresh herbs to dip bread, and if time allows a garlic shredder. Students create this themed set of two ewer-type jars with spouts, a tray/caddy to hold them along with the dipping dish. Students are encouraged to do an online visual search of the type of ewer/cruet set they're interested in. Form and function will be discussed along with the creative process with the guidance to achieve results intended. See images below of different types below to spark interest. Students learn to create elements not usually created, expanding their creative building process along with decorative and functional aspects and problem-solving issues that are apt to arise such as measuring appropriately to support the items created in a tray or caddy. Member Discount Applies. See Cathleen. Non-members return Thursday, June 5th, 12-2 pm or 5:30-7:30 pm for a glaze session with Cathleen or they may opt to have staff dip their pieces in pre-determined glazes. Minimum of 6 participants for class to run.
