Wall Pockets with texture

Service Description

Join artist instructor Cathleen for an engaging afternoon of slab-building with clay! All participants will have the chance to explore various decorative techniques on slabs. These unique slabs will be folded into a wall pocket and joined at the seams. Sizes and shapes will vary. Wall pockets can be used around the house inside and out for plants and storage. They can be conical, or envelope shaped or even organic free-formed. Once projects are completed, they will be dried and bisqued fired and glazed by staff. All participants will be able to choose a glaze color. Bring a bottled water and hand towel. All other materials provided. Clay, bisque fire, glaze and glaze firing included. This project will be glazed for you in a finish chosen the day of class. Students return in approximately 3 weeks to pick up their completed work. Students will be notified when work is ready for pick up, or you may contact the studio at any time for an update.
